A 30-year-old man is dead after being shot by police at Toronto’s Pearson airport earlier today. The Special Investigations Unit says police officers were called to the airport’s Terminal 1 departures drop-off area after reports of a man in distress in an SUV, and reports indicate the man reportedly produced a firearm. Two officers fired their guns at the man and he was pronounced dead on scene. There are no threats to public safety, they added.
