A name has now been approved for the new community garden coming to Strathroy-Caradoc. In early March, council approved a grant of $14,500 from the 2025 Progress Through Partnership Program to support the creation of a new Community Garden. This funding complements recent contributions from Falconer, Holy Cross Secondary School, the Construction Guild, Telha Etop, and Acorn Tree Service. In recognition of the Falconer family’s significant support, the garden has been officially named the “Arda Falconer Memorial Community Garden” for the next two decades.
The $14 500 in PTP funding will be specifically used for the following elements of the project:
Tool Storage Shed
Signage
Fencing around the Garden
Water Tank
