Coming up tonight it’s game 1 in Alvinston between the Killer Bees and the Strathroy Jets for the Western Ontario Super Hockey League conference semifinals. The series is being billed the Sydenham Showdown, and we talked with member of the Jets Scouting department and sponsor for game 2 with Crossings Insurance and Lambton Mutual Insurance Shawn Grogan who says the team has been playing well and they should be ready to go.
What a lot of fans don’t know is that this league works on a point per player system kind of like a salary cap where you cannot go over a certain point total for all the players in the lineup on a particular night.
As mentioned Crossings Insurance along with Lambton Mutual Insurance are sponsoring game two and he say sponsors are huge for a team’s season success.
Both teams have advanced tickets available online at their respective websites. Strathroy will host game 2 March 21st.
