Strathroy-Caradoc Council this week approved the updated Tar and Chip Program including 14.5 kilometers of road resurfacing on the following roads.
Century Drive from Springwell Road to the Dead End (1 km)
Irish Drive from Melbourne Road to Sutherland Road (5 km)
Irish Drive from Christina Road to Adelaide Road (4.5 km)
Juliana Drive from Railroad Street to the Dead End (150 m)
Sutherland Road from Switzer Drive to Longwoods Road (1.3 km)
Falconbridge Drive from Sutherland Road to Christina Road (2.5 km)
The resurfacing work will be performed by Public Works staff, helping to keep the program’s costs lower than those of other municipalities. The tar and chip program will be funded through the 2025 capital budget, which totals $915,000.
