The OPP Middlesex County Detachment invites enthusiastic, community-focused individuals to participate in the upcoming Citizens Police Academy, launching in April 2025. This seven-week program offers participants an in-depth look into the field of law enforcement, covering a variety of topics. Attendees will engage in informative sessions led by specialized OPP units, such as Forensic Identification Services, Community Street Crime and Crime Units, the Emergency Response Team, the Tactics and Rescue Unit, the Canine Unit, In-Service Training, and Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement.
The program will culminate in a graduation ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of participants who successfully complete the academy. Sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., starting on April 2, 2025, and running through May 14, 2025.
Applications can be obtained in person at the front desk of the London County OPP Detachment, located at 823 Exeter Road in London and at 28444 Centre Road in Strathroy. Kindly be aware that applications submitted after Thursday, March 20, 2025, will not be taken into consideration. Additionally, applicants are required to be 18 years of age or older to apply. As the course has limited capacity, early submission of applications is highly recommended.
