A Nova Scotia man currently crossing Canada on foot is making his way through southwestern Ontario, stopping in Parkhill Saturday, made his way to Strathroy on Sunday and now today heads to London. Trevor Redmond is doing this as part of personal journey stemming from his experience as a teenager. We asked him why he was doing this.
He is known as the Fellow in Yellow which you can follow his journey live online. His journey began in early spring.
He’s covered almost 5000 kms on this current journey and is not new to long distances as over the last couple of decades Trevor walked 11,421kms in 2006-07 to raise money for cancer research, and then later on did the same trip by bike travelling 14,634 kms. He says the communities along the way thus far have been amazing.
Trevor told myFM this trip isn’t only about the distance, it’s about the message to everyone about promoting mental along with physical wellness. He says throughout the trip, donations along with volunteer helping for lodging and more have been essential.
You can follow Trevor or the fellow in yellow at www.thefellowinyellow.ca also on Facebook and Tiktok.
