Strathroy’s Remembrance Day ceremony will start at 10:45am Monday, November 11th with any available cadets and members of the Legion marching in. Since it’s the 100th anniversary of the Strathroy cenotaph, President Margaret Carter hopes to get a good turnout.
Carter has some specifics about the ceremony for us.
Then an official from the Museum will explain the significance of the poppy project this year meant to mark the 100th anniversary of the Strathroy cenotaph. Dignitaries and many others will also lay wreaths at the cenotaph during the ceremony.
The Remembrance Day ceremony in Mount Brydges is also November 11th at the cenotaph and Melbourne holds its service Sunday at a local church.
