Residents and visitors alike have been struck by the beauty of the poppy displays in Strathroy and Mount Brydges ahead of Remembrance Day. Close to 10,000 poppies were knitted or crocheted by volunteers to mark the 100th anniversary of the Strathroy cenotaph and the displays were revealed over the weekend.

Remembrance Day celebrations kickoff Sunday in Melbourne with a church servcie followed by November the 11th ceremonies at both the Strathroy and Mount Brydges cenotaphs. You can check any community’s Remembrance Day service at www.legion.ca/remembrance-day-ceremonies.
