The Gutsy Walk for Crohn’s and Colitis Canada stands as Canada’s largest community event dedicated to Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. It’s a vibrant, family-friendly occasion where communities unite to support those impacted by these conditions and its set to go locally in Strathroy on June 2nd.
President of the Strathroy affiliate of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, Kevin Eagleson says the walk is all set to go.
For nearly three decades, Canadians from all corners of the country have gathered, rain or shine, to champion our cause. Since 1996, the Gutsy Walk has raised over $52 million for groundbreaking research and vital programs.
Eagleson says Crohn’s and Colitis isn’t talked about enough.
Canada has one of the highest rates of Crohn’s and colitis in the world. Over 322,000 Canadians experience the daily challenges these diseases bring, with a new diagnosis occurring every 48 minutes.
Eagleson says it is best to register for the walk online.
