Strathroy-Caradoc Council returns this evening at 6pm and one of the bigger items on the agenda will be a notice of motion brought forward by Deputy Mayor Mike McGuire to be voted on to have the front doors of the municipal building reopened to the public. As we know the front doors of town hall have been locked since the pandemic but reopening them was one of the items on the municipal election platforms of both the Deputy Mayor and the Mayor. myFM has learned there has been push back on this motion by staff itself in the way of at least a dozen letters towards municipal leadership based on security and safety concerns and that will all come to a head this evening. myFM will have the complete story this week.
