Museum Strathroy-Caradoc is set to debut a new exhibit on October 4th, called Grandma’s attic. Curator Michelle Wright says the new exhibit is a mix of all artifacts the museum has on hand.
The exhibit is meant to feel like walking through your very own attic and seeing all the hidden treasures that they have.
Wright says that the idea for the new exhibit came from looking through the artifacts and seeing what hasn’t been out in a while. In order to prepare for exhibits Wright says it could take months, but this one came together really quickly.
She also said it was important to do an exhibit like this because people have donated to the museum and to put that history on display. Also part of this exhibit will be a ‘tickle trunk’ where people can dress up and join the display.
Wright hopes that after seeing the exhibit it will inspire others to go through their own attics and discover a little history. The exhibit will open up Wednesday October 4th from 5:30 to 6:30pm at Museum Strathroy-Caradoc.
