The closing of a chapter this week at Sprucedale Care Centre in Strathroy as staff, residents and family said thank you to departing Ownership and management of the Micallef family. Sprucedale Thursday celebrating the retirement of Charles & Rose Micallef and Director of Operations Darren Micallef. The ownership of the care centre will be turned over to another family operated home. The Micallef family has owned and operated Sprucedale since 1994, and Darren says it’s very full circle to see this time come.
Darren says this decision has came from discussion over the last few years.
He adds the success they had with the Centre is a big part to do with the community and he says thank you for that.
Sprucedale on Thursday had a commemorative Lamp post placed in the Main court yard of the home by family council. The Micallef’s last day will be July 28th.
