As of Thursday, the open-air burn ban has been lifted. A reminder to all rural area residents, review the Open-air burn by-law (17-12) before burning, to avoid liable costs.
– All persons proposing to conduct an open-air burn shall notify dispatch at 519-245-1300
– Burn between the hours of 7am – 7pm
– No materials other then dry seasoned wood
– Burn shall be attended at all times
– Confined to an area of 45 meters (150 ‘) from any building , highway, road, wooded area or property line
– Smoke from burn does not impact visibility of motorists
The ban has also been lifted for Middlesex Centre, Lucan Biddulph, Southwest Middlesex, Adelaide Metcalfe, North Middlesex, Thames Centre and the Village of Newbury.
