Today is Hidden Gems Day here on myFM and now we are featuring the Strathroy Rotary Club’s Memorial Trail that roams throughout Strathroy all the way from Second Street down to the Fairgrounds. Jen Veeke, President of the Strathroy Rotary Club says over the course of the pandemic, the trail has been used a lot more.
The trail was thought of back in 2001 as a way to remember Rotary members that have passed. The trail begins just east of the corner of Albert Street and Carrie Street and extends all the way through town, continuing through the Conservation Area and up to Second Street. Veeke says the trail is now about 7km and takes about 2 hours to do the full trail. She says the Rotary Club also does events with the trail.
For more information on the trail, Veeke says the Rotary website is the best bet.
