Plans are moving forward in Strathroy’s north end. The Municipality is planning to extend Agnes Drive to be able to service industrial lands there within Molnar Industrial Park. This would mean the construction of a municipal road extension, with water and wastewater servicing and a stormwater management facility, to service industrial development planned for the project area. The new road would extend south about 360 metres from Wright Street. This project land is owned by Strathroy-Caradoc except for two industrial building lots and a strip of privately-owned land proposed for a new servicing easement. There is a deadline of October 22nd for any public inquiries or feedback to the project team.

A Project File Report has been prepared to document the screening process, including the associated consultation and associated studies. This Report is available for public review at the municipal office during normal hours of operation (52 Frank Street, Strathroy) and is posted on the Strathroy-Caradoc web site.

In addition, a request may be made to the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks for an order requiring a higher level of study (i.e. requiring an individual/comprehensive EA approval before being able to proceed), or that conditions be imposed (e.g. require further studies), only on the grounds that the requested order may prevent, mitigate or remedy adverse impacts on constitutionally protected Aboriginal and treaty rights. Requests on other grounds will not be considered. Requests should include the requester contact information and full name. Requests should specify what kind of order is being requested (request for conditions or a request for an individual/comprehensive environmental assessment), how an order may prevent, mitigate or remedy potential adverse impacts on Aboriginal and treaty rights, and any information in support of the statements in the request. This will ensure that the ministry is able to efficiently begin reviewing the request. The request should be sent in writing or by email to both:
