A new bus service is starting service in London, doing commuter trips from London to Toronto, 6 trips both ways. OnEx Bus, which stands for Ontario Express Bus Line is offering trips with a few stops along the way that cost only $30 each way.
The way OnEx Bus works is an on-demand system so when you book your ticket online, you can pick one of multiple pick up locations, and then drop off locations. If one of those locations doesn’t have anyone who booked to be picked up or dropped off there, the bus will not go there. So if there is only two spots booked, the bus will essentially be an express trip. Harvey Eawadao, who is the development manager for OnEx Bus said that the route was created as they realized there was a need for it.
Harvey added that depending on how many people book tickets will depend on what kind of transport comes. If there is a need for a coach bus, one will be used, but if there are only a few riders, they will use one of their smaller sprinter as they want to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
