Strathroy-Caradoc Police looking into a firearms investigation. On Wednesday June 9th, there was a report of a Break and Enter to a home on Beattie Street in Strathroy-Caradoc. Several Firearms, ammunition and other hunting weapons were taken from the home. Strathroy-Caradoc Police investigated the incident and one of the two suspects involved was identified as John Amaral, a 42-year-old man from London. He was arrested and charged with multiple offenses. There was a second male suspect involved who is still outstanding described as a male, white, tall in his 30’s. This male was seen getting out of the passenger’s side of an older model grey Ford Sedan. · CC 98(1)(b) Break & Enter a place and steal a firearm
· CC 117.01(1) Poss of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order X 2
· CC 320.18(1)(a) Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code
· CC 91(1) Unauthorized Poss of a Firearm
· CC 92(1) Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
