On Sunday June 6th in communities across the country Crohn’s and Colitis Canada held the 26th Annual Gutsy Walk. This year with concerns for safety in mind, the Gutsy Walk was celebrated virtually where participants were encouraged to join Gutsy Walk from anywhere by choosing their route for their walk for their goals. By the end of the day, participants of the Strathroy Gutsy Walk had raised an amazing $32,628.47 towards Crohn’s and Colitis Canada’s $2,129,684.65 total with funds continuing to be accepted to June 28th by visiting gutsywalk.ca. Money raised fund research for new treatment possibilities; summer camps and scholarships for youth with Crohn’s or colitis and for education and awareness programs.
Crohn’s and Colitis Canada is the only national, volunteer based charity focused on finding the cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and improving the lives of everyone impacted by these chronic autoimmune diseases. More at crohnsandcolitis.ca
