The Government of Ontario has announced that schools across Ontario will remain closed for the rest of the school year, leaving students to finish the year online.
Thames Valley School Board has said in a statement that the schools in their district will continue to learn remotely. For those students who are not able to learn remotely, in one of the Thames Valley’s Special Education Classes, they will continue to learn in person.
Director of Education, Mark Fisher said “We know that students thrive when they are learning in person at school and we look forward to welcoming all students back to our schools in September.”
They will communicate with the families in the next few days about retrieving personal belongings and returning school board property. As more information comes out they will contact the students and families.
