The Middlesex Centre Archives are now open to the public once again. Chair of the Board Carol Small says they’re excited to welcome residents once again after being closed since the middle of March. There’s a lot of new regulations in place Small said to protect you, themselves, and the papers you’re after.
Masks are also required, and Plexiglas will be set up to divide workstations. In addition Small said they’ve secured a second annex room where new files will be put into “quarantine,” for a few days before being moved out and sorted to ensure the coronavirus does not stick on the documents. One small bonus of the shutdown Small said was lots of cleaning of homes were done and they’re ready for an influx of new additions to the archives.
