While the beaches in Grand Bend remain closed, Bill Weber still has an ideal opening date in mind, and it hasn’t changed since Lambton County is staying in Phase 1 a little longer than the bulk of the province. The Lambton Shores mayor would like to see a July 1st opening, adding they’ll do what they can to make that happen, while addressing some of the public’s concerns.
If beaches do get the green light this summer, Weber said they’d be running at minimal capacity to ensure physical distancing measures are being practiced.
