A medical tag program has been introduced by Southwestern Ontario Student Transportation Services. The tag is now available for students who carry medications on their person on the school bus to act as a visual cue for those nearby in case the need for support should arise. CAO Maureen Cosyn-Heath says there has been a growing need for a program like this and that’s why they brought it in.
The tag is red and white and cross shaped that can be attached to a backpack. It’s available for free at all school offices for London District Catholic and Thames Valley District Schools. The medi-tag program is not restricted to students who ride the school bus and will be available to any family upon request.
