Lianne Rood is your new MP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.
Rood defeated five other opponents quite handily, securing over 49% of the vote, as the former Bev Shipley staffer will return to Ottawa but as a representative for the riding.
She says she’s really excited to get started.
As a first-time MP, Rood says she’s looking to tackle a few points of interest right out of the gate.
She says she’s disappointed to not have Andrew Scheer as Canada’s Prime Minister, but is excited to be working with everyone in Ottawa nonetheless.
She thanked everyone for the support and all of the kind messages she received throughout the campaign.
