A man is facing several charges after a two-vehicle crash in Kilworth on Tuesday afternoon. Middlesex OPP, along with Middlesex-London Paramedics and Middlesex Centre Fire crews, were called to the intersection of Glendon Drive and Kilworth Park Drive for a reported collision.
Before police arrived, one of the drivers ran from the scene on foot. A short time later, officers were called to Baron Crescent nearby after someone reported a suspicious person in the area. Police found the person and placed him under arrest.
The man, who had been hurt in the crash, was taken to hospital as a precaution. The other driver involved in the crash was also taken to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Police later discovered that the vehicle driven by the suspect had been reported stolen from a home in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc.
A 35-year-old man from Strathroy, is now facing several charges.
The Middlesex OPP are reminding the public to report any suspicious activity or suspected impaired drivers to police right away.
