With April officially here, it’s time to start preparing for the upcoming Federal Election. Set for April 28th, voters who have registered for the election should begin to receive their personalized voter information card in the mail over the coming weeks.
If you don’t get a voter information card, or the information on the card is incorrect, your voter information may not be up to date. Use the Online Voter Registration Service to check your registration, register or update your address information.
Candidates will have until April 7th at 2 p.m. to register, with the official list of candidates running in each riding, released on April 9th.
Those wishing to vote by mail, can apply online or at any Elections Canada office before the deadline on Tuesday, April 22nd at 6 p.m.
Advance polling will take place April 18-21, with polling stations open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
You are also reminded that early voting is available at all 500 Elections Canada offices across the country. Those in Middlesex-London can do so at the former Amy’s Restaurant on Centre Road, by April 22nd at 6 pm.
