A 26-year-old man from Alvinston has been charged after Strathroy-Caradoc police stopped a vehicle travelling 101 kilometres per hour over the speed limit. Police were conducting radar enforcement on Calvert Drive, east of Glen Oak Road, around 10pm Wednesday night of last week when they clocked a vehicle at 181 km/h in a posted 80 zone.
The driver was arrested, charged with stunt driving, had his license suspended for 30 days and his vehicle impounded for 14 days. Police remind drivers that excessive speed is dangerous and can have deadly consequences.
