Any rumours or reports of no Junior B hockey team being in Strathroy next year are pretty much squashed at this point. In a to-the-point statement the organization this week announced they are here to stay. The team reminded the community that in September they secured a three-year agreement with the municipality for advertising rights at the West Middlesex Memorial Centre, a symbol of the franchise’s dedication to strengthening local hockey and building a bright future in the community. If you’re interested in volunteering with the organization, please visit our website, plus we have more from the team’s official statement on our website.

“This season has been one of transition, but our focus remains on laying the groundwork for long-term success. We recognize there’s still work to be done to shape the program into what we envision—but rest assured, big plans are in motion. The 2026-27 season will mark an exciting new chapter, bringing a fresh wave of energy to hockey in Strathroy and further cementing our place in the community for years to come.
We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support from our fans, partners, and the entire Strathroy hockey family. Your passion and dedication fuel our mission, and we can’t wait to continue this journey together.
As we grow, we’re looking for more volunteers to join the program. If you’re interested, please contact Andrew@StrathroyRockets.ca.”
