The time change comes up this weekend, where we Spring forward an hour to Daylight Saving Time. Be sure to reset any clocks that don’t change automatically before you go to bed Saturday night, as the change occurs at 2am Sunday. The Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department also has some good advice, as we hear from Fire Prevention Officer Jayson Chabot.
Chabot says our compliance rate for working smoke and CO detectors…could use some work, adding they see a lot of false alarms due to equipment failure. The average smoke detector lasts 10 years, while a CO alarm is good for about 8 years.
