They say when one door closes, another one opens and that is the case with this good news story myFM is breaking for you. The incoming Chuck’s Roadhouse in the location of the former Crabby Joe’s restaurant will in fact remain with local ownership. Lynda Patterson and Wayne Flooren of Lynd-Way Enterprises Inc out of Strathroy will be the new owners of the franchise coming to town. Patterson says it happened quickly and as a surprise to them both once the former restaurant closed its doors.
Currently major renovations are happening with the interior just a skeleton of the former restaurant layout. Patterson says they felt it was the right choice for them both.
As far as the former Crabby Joes employees who Patterson had to unfortunately layoff three weeks ago, they all met on Sunday to deliver the news and invite anyone interested back for an opening hopefully set for late December.
She adds staying local was the key and they felt the opportunity was there.
They will be hosting a job fair this week at the restaurant from Wednesday to Friday 11 to 5pm, and anyone interested is asked to bring a résumé and be prepared to be interviewed on site.
