London police have arrested a man believed to be responsible for multiple non-fatal overdoses, which led to a safety warning issued Friday afternoon. Authorities reported that a man driving a red sedan was distributing a substance for free to individuals near Queens Avenue and Adelaide Street North.
Around 8:30 p.m. Friday, officers from Strathroy-Caradoc Police spotted the suspect in the Second Street and Centre Road area but he fled the scene in his vehicle. Toronto Police later found the suspect in Etobicoke. He was arrested without any reported injuries. A 26-year-old man from Thornhill faces charges. Police are urging anyone who may have received the substance from the suspect not to ingest it and to contact London Police. The investigation is ongoing.
