Fleming College will bring its sought-after Personal Support Worker program to Lindsay’s Frost Campus this winter through a state-of-the-art mobile laboratory.
The initiative addresses the increasing need for PSWs in the City of Kawartha Lakes and across Ontario, with 24,000 workers required by 2026.
The mobile lab will train 64 students over two semesters, providing 400 hours of theory and hands-on lab experience, plus 300 hours of real-life training.
The program brings PSW training to the City of Kawartha Lakes without needing permanent campus renovations.
