The Parkinson’s Society Southwestern Ontario is celebrating as for this year’s Walk for PD, they raised $506,977 to support those affected by Parkinson’s disease in our communities. That’s in large part to the sponsors, nearly 200 volunteers, and over 1,800 participants that were involved. On September 7th and 8th, participants from 14 locations came together to walk in support of Parkinson’s disease, raising both funds and awareness for over 10,000 individuals living with Parkinson’s in the region. Locally $85,267.34 was raised in the London and District area including Strathroy involvement, $46,891.82 in Sarnia-Lambton and $9,512.81 in Grand Bend.
