The Middlesex-London Health Unit advises drinking plenty of water, avoiding caffeinated and alcoholic drinks, and limiting outdoor activities. Keep homes cool by drawing shades and using fans at night.
Landlords are encouraged to provide access to cooler areas and share heat safety tips with tenants.
Air quality may be affected, with a forecasted Air Quality Health Index of 5, indicating moderate risk. Temperatures are expected to drop to 28°C by Wednesday, August 28th, bringing relief from the heat.
