You’ll see it all the time on local social media pages….people asking if there’s a walk-in clinic in Strathroy. There is, but only if you’re a patient of a doctor at a local family medical clinic, and long-time family doctor Gary Perkin says unfortunately, that’s likely not about to change anytime soon.
It’s been years since there was a walk-in clinic for the general public in Strathroy, meaning many people who need care end up heading into London or the emergency room at Strathroy’s hospital. Dr. Perkin says there is a walk in for certain patients.
Perkin says he’s not aware of anything in the works to bring a walk-in clinic here, adding we need more family doctors let alone trying to man such a clinic.
