Kawartha Gymnastics will officially open its new facility tomorrow, hosting an open house starting at 3 p.m.
Located at 1575 Chemong Road, the 14,500 square foot space features distinct training areas for the club’s recreational and competitive gymnasts as well as a large in-ground foam pit.
Following the open ceremony and tour of the facility, showcases featuring the Peterborough Special Olympics rhythmic gymnasts and advanced recreational gymnasts will be held. In addition, vintage uniforms and memorabilia highlighting the club’s 53-year history will be displayed.
Founded in 1971 by a group of local parents, Kawartha Gymnastics is a not-for-profit organization that reaches gymnastics to all ages and abilities. More information on the club can be found at kawarthagymnastics.ca.
