Warwick Township is asking the candidates in the upcoming May 2nd by-election for the Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP seat to focus on important local issues. They especially highlight the need for natural gas access in rural areas and the proposed Twin Creeks Landfill expansion. These concerns have been neglected since the seat has been vacant since September 2022. Mayor Todd Case stressed that these issues are crucial for Warwick Township.
They want MPP candidates to address two main questions: whether they support natural gas expansion in rural areas and if they will ensure a thorough Environmental Assessment for the Twin Creeks Landfill. Warwick Township appreciated MPP Bob Bailey’s support during the vacancy and hopes for continued dedication from the next MPP.
