Local Police are looking to fill some dispatcher positions. There are many fulfilling jobs at the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service that don’t need a uniform. Their civilian staff provides important support and specialized knowledge to the whole Service, especially in 911 Communications.
Communicators are the first contact with the public, handling both emergency and regular service calls. They give call details and continuous help, aiding officers in the field. The Central Communications Centre logs all activities of the Service, from service calls and traffic stops to property checks, court, and vehicle repairs. Every service call gets an occurrence number and is sent to a Police Officer for further action.
Civilian roles can be full-time or part-time, permanent or temporary, and some may involve shift work. Job postings will have all the details.
