If you’re looking for a local water park experience, East Park in London is set for some major upgrades, $5 million worth of upgrades. The two original 1982 mat slides will be upgraded along with two old slides. The upgrade involves installing a five-slide tower featuring three mat slides, a twisty or serpentine slide, and a “toilet bowl” slide, marking the largest-ever single-time investment in the park’s history.
General manager Alon Shatil said this week, that this $5-million investment surpasses even the wave pool installation in 2018. Also, the park plans to replace the bullet and caterpillar waterslides, acquired from Wally World in 2003, with designs reminiscent of the classic originals. Beyond the waterpark, East Park offers a plethora of activities, including bumper cars, mini golf, a driving range, batting cages, an arcade, and more. East Park is targeting an opening date of the first weekend in June.
