Join the VON SMART Exercise program today from 9:30am-10:30am. This is a free program for people aged 55 and older or for adults living with a disability. For more information about the program call 519-659-2273 ext. 22267.
At the Middlesex County Library in Komoka there will be a Free drop-in program for families with children 0-6 years old from 9am-11am today. Each Play & Learn program will offer a play-based learning opportunity in one of the indoor library program spaces. Activities planned by EarlyON facilitators encourage positive parent and child interaction and inspire play and learning!
Today at the Ilderton, Melbourne and Parkhill libraries, there will be Storytime from 10:30am-11am. Join Ellyn on Fridays for stories, songs, rhymes and fun! All are welcome.
At the Ailsa Craig library today, there will be a Crafters’ Corner from 12:30pm – 1:30pm. Join together for time to socialize and create. Bring in that craft or art project you’ve been working on and see how much fun it can be to work as a group!
At the Komoka Library, today there will be Pilates from 1:30pm – 2:30pm. This challenging low impact exercise method that balances strength with mobility, aligns the body, fine-tunes movement patterns, and strengthens the deeper muscles of the core.
Tomorrow, there will be free skating at the West Middlesex Memorial Centre in Strathroy. The free skate at the WMMC will take place from 1pm-3pm.
It’s Paper Bag Princess Day tomorrow at the Ilderton Library. Celebrate Paper Bag Princess Day at the Ilderton Library! Discover your inner princess or prince from 10:00am-12:45pm.
In local sports:
The Strathroy Rockets are in action tonight as they travel to the Pyramid R.C. to take on the St. Marys Lincolns. Puck drop is set for 7:30pm.
The Strathroy Jets are also in action tonight as they travel to Tillsonburg. Puck drop is set for 7:30pm.
It’s a loaded night in hockey with the Mount Brydges Bulldogs also in action. They take on the Port Stanley Sailors at the Tri-Town Ice Arena. Puck drop is set for 8:30pm.
In another night with many local teams hitting the ice, The Rockets are back in action tomorrow night in their final game of the regular season as they take on the Sarnia Legionnaires at the West Middlesex Memorial Centre. Puck drop is set for 7:30pm.
Tomorrow the North Middlesex Stars are set to take on the Petrolia Flyers at home. Puck drop is set for 8pm.
The Strathroy Jets are also in action tomorrow as they take on Tillsonburg at the Gemini Sportsplex. Puck drop is set for 7:30pm.
The Mount Brydges Bulldogs are set to take on Port Stanley once again on the road at the Port Stanley Arena and Community Centre. Puck drop is set for 7pm.
And on Sunday, the Bulldogs finish their weekend on the ice taking on the Sailors at home, with puck drop set for 2pm.
If you feel you have what it takes to play with the Strathroy Rockets, fill out a Prospect Form on their website as they are looking for new players to join them on the ice next season.
