The 2023 fourth quarter numbers are now in from Adelaide Metcalfe Township Fire Department. During the council meeting on January 15th, Fire Chief Dan Parker delivered a comprehensive overview of the department’s operations during that time period encompassing various aspects, such as emergency responses, firefighter training initiatives, fire prevention endeavors, and public educational campaigns.
Some of the highlights in 2023 included a live fire training session in September, and Fire Prevention Week in October with a public awareness campaign conducted in partnership with Moffatt and Powell Rona Strathroy. Chief Parker also highlighted the financial aspect of the department’s activities, noting that expenses incurred for callouts, training, and public education initiatives were within the operational budget. Council unanimously approved the motion to accept the Fire Department’s 2023 Final Activity Report.
