It’s “Your Health, Your Wellness Day” here on myFM – and we sat down with Cara Janzen, Owner of Radical Nutrition in Strathroy. Janzen says there is a few parts to Radical Nutrition, but there is one main focus within business.
One thing Janzen hopes to do is help people understand their body and how their body works as well as help people feel good about themselves.
For those looking to start having a better relationship with their body or who are looking to reach their personal nutrition goals, Janzen has some tips.
She also says the process could be quite long, and can take a lot out of a person, but Janzen says in the end it is all worth it.
If you are looking to start your wellness journey, Janzen can be reached at 519-494-8709 or by email at info@carajanzenrhn.com
A little bit more about what all happens at the store from Cara herself:
– i volunteer twice a week at OLI, and when they have too much fruit – I turn them into muffins! I am on the healthy snack committee, which has open the door to do different community education activities like lunch and learns or info sessions with students and parents.
– with OLI (and potentially a few more schools) Radical Nutrition cooks the hot lunch once a week, which is really exciting
– the store has supplements, body care products, refillery for cleaning products
– we have a team member who uses a room for “Sugaring” and her business is “sugar Love Co”.
– I have a day-rental office room available for anyone who needs an office in a professional setting and does not want to hold meetings in their home
– I own and run the Prom Project – offering an outfit – dress or suit – for free for any grade 8 or 12 – not limited to Strathroy Caradoc. We also have shoes, jewelery and ties available for those interested. In addition to this, if someone is in need of a dress who is not graduating, then the dress is $20 and that money goes back into the prom project so that once I am able to get a Charity number, I can give bursaries or such things, to graduating students for going to post secondary school
