Some Rogers and Fido customers can expect higher bills starting on January 17. Depending on the customer’s plan, that increase could be between $7 and $9 per month. We spoke to Matt Hatfield of OpenMedia, a non-profit advocacy group, who says the problem is bigger than just one company.
Hatfield says that Canadians already pay some of the highest telecom rates in the world.
