‘The Big Rig’ might be now in Owen Sound, but Peterborough will always have a special place in his heart.
Konnor Smith was traded earlier this week from the Petes to the Attack.
Smith spoke with PTBOToday.ca before he left.
The Windsor-native reflected on what a great journey it has been in the Lift Lock City.
Smith appeared in 145 games in three seasons with the Petes, scoring 14 times and adding 21 assists for 35 points. Smith also played in all 23 of the Petes playoff games last season, picking up two assists while helping Peterborough win the 2023 OHL Championship.
“I’d like to personally thank Konnor for everything he’s done over the past three seasons for the Petes and the city of Peterborough,” continued Oke. “Konnor’s been a fan favourite on and off the ice and we wish him nothing but the best moving forward.”
