Enbridge Gas is supporting the Oneida Fire Department in acquiring firefighting training materials through the Safe Community Project Assist program.
This initiative, in collaboration with the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council, enhances training for volunteer and composite fire departments in areas served by Enbridge Gas.
Enbridge Gas has donated $250,000 to 50 Ontario fire departments, and the Oneida Fire Department has received $5,000 as part of the program.
Since 2012, 344 grants have been provided for additional firefighter training.
Chief Glenn Hill expressed his gratitude for the support, contributing to community safety.
