Your local LCBO in Strathroy along with other provincial locations is once again teaming up with the Children’s Health Foundation to support the well-being of young ones in need. With their donation campaign running from Giving Tuesday in November through December 31, customers at every LCBO in Ontario are being asked at the till if they would like to make a donation alongside their holiday beverage purchases. Jennifer Baxter, Director of Community Relations with the Children’s Miracle Network, says that the long lasting partnership is a great way to raise funds for the London Children’s Hospital.
Baxter highlights the substantial impact of these contributions, citing an average of over $900,000 raised annually.
The funds play a vital role in providing essential services for young patients, from supporting equipment for epilepsy management to injury prevention programs addressing the effects of impaired driving, the LCBO’s financial assistance extends across the spectrum.
Baxter underscores the critical nature of these donations, explaining that without them, many of the hospital’s programs and services, including bereavement support, would not be possible. The LCBO’s involvement is particularly significant, with 139 locations from Sarnia to Thunder Bay actively collecting contributions.
In expressing gratitude to the LCBO and the community for their generous support, Baxter emphasizes the collaborative effort needed to ensure exceptional healthcare for families.
This holiday season, as you raise your glass in celebration, consider raising the spirits of local children by making a donation at your LCBO till. Together, we can ensure that every child in our community has the opportunity to thrive.
