Strathroy-Caradoc Council has approved the purchase of 4 Station Protect Air Purifiers from Task Force Tips Fire Fighting Equipment for $26,616 plus HST. These purifiers were flagged as necessary in a report discussed during the November 20th, 2023 meeting, which detailed indoor air quality tests at our three fire stations.
Recommendations in the report, included exploring air purification systems with activated carbon to tackle volatile organic compounds. This move aligns with Health Canada’s guidelines and aims to combat the volatile compounds surpassing the Ministry of the Environment’s Air Quality Criteria.
