Charges laid after a rollover in Adelaide Metcalfe. OPP tell us just before 2am Saturday, Police, along with EMS and fire responded to a single vehicle rollover on Calvert Drive in Adelaide Metcalfe. The driver, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries, was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Subsequent investigation indicated alcohol consumption prior to the incident. A 24-year-old from London, has been charged accordingly.
The Festive RIDE campaign has pulled another impaired driver off the road. OPP tell us around 11:30 p.m. Friday, OPP conducted a RIDE program on Longwoods Road. During the program, a vehicle entered, and it was discovered that the driver had consumed alcohol. After testing, the driver, a 27-year-old from Delaware was arrested and charged.
OPP got a call Sunday about a disturbance in Southwest Middlesex. After an investigation, they charged a 33-year-old person from Middlesex County with spousal assault. If someone you know is facing domestic violence, there are local groups like Victim Services of Middlesex-London that can give support. They’re there to help.
Then on Monday, OPP stopped a car on Adelaide Road in Strathroy-Caradoc for breaking traffic rules. As a result of the stop a 56-year-old person from London has been charged for various offences including, having a faulty number plate, not giving the vehicle’s permit when asked and driving with accessible cannabis and alcohol in the car.
