The community and local fire services is dealing with a great loss following the passing last week of Captain Chris Bruinink of Mount Brydges, who passed away from cancer at the age of 51. He was an advocate who worked tirelessly every day for the health and safety of firefighters. myFM spoke with Fire Chief Brent Smith who says it is now up to each and every single person to continue to spread the message Captain Bruinink was trying to convey.
Chief Smith says they knew of Chris’ battle, and were hoping he would pull through.
Visitations will take place today, November 22, 2023 from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Forest City Community Church, 3725 Bostwick Road, London, where a full honours funeral will be conducted on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.
