A popular downtown shopping incentive program is back, providing a shot at winning gift cards in return for shopping at one or more of over 140 participating retailers and restaurants.
Overseen by the Downtown Business Improvement Area (DBIA), the Holiday Shopping Passport initiative celebrates in-person shopping. DBIA vibrancy manager Hillary Flood explains how it works.
Flood adds the program has proven very popular in past years.
Flood says it’s all about helping downtown businesses obtain their share of the seasonal shopping pie.
Holiday Shopping Passports are available at any one of the participating businesses.
Meanwhile, running in conjunction is the annual Holiday Window Contest, the theme being Aurora Boerealis with this year’s Northern Lights display forecasted to be one of the most spectacular in years. Visit www.boro.ca to see the displays and vote for your favourite.
