If you still need a sign that summer is over, the pending removal of temporary downtown patio spaces should do the trick.
Starting October 24th, the City will remove patio spaces in preparation for winter snow clearing. Their removal will see Hunter Street between George and Aylmer streets return to two-way traffic.
Restaurants and other businesses are required to remove their patio furniture by the end of day on October 24th.
Expanded patio spaces were allowed starting in May, marking the fourth summer the City made that allowance.
